Dr. Elias Shaheen has worked for over 17 years as a physician, specializing in medicine for men and women. He has extensive experience treating complex conditions that include the management of high blood pressure, cholesterol, and diabetes.
Dr. Shaheen focuses on preventative health including pre-op exams, annual physicals exams for men and women, diabetes screening, immunizations, cancer screenings, weight loss and nutrition. He expertly handles chronic disease management of hypertension, thyroid issues, women’s health issues, lipid management and vitamin/nutritional deficiencies. He also covers headaches/migraines, constipation, UTIs, joint pain, urinary incontinence, shortness of breath, among many other medical concerns.
With extensive experience managing patients with multiple chronic conditions, Dr. Shaheen brings both clinical excellence and practical wisdom to every encounter. As a board-certified Family Physician, he excels in coordinating care across specialists, utilizing the latest research and treatment protocols to manage conditions like heart disease, diabetes, and pulmonary disorders. In his concierge practice, Dr. Shaheen ensures continuity, accessibility, and seamless care integration. As part of his robust network, He can also coordinate care with out-of-state providers and nationally recognized medical centers such as Cleveland Clinic and Mayo Clinic, as needed.

Education
Dr. Shaheen received his Bachelor of Science in Biology degree with honors from the University of Virginia. He completed a Master of Science in Gerontology from Virginia Commonwealth University and he received his medical degree with honors from Ross University School of Medicine in New Jersey. Along with his wife Dr. Nicole Costello, he completed his residency at the renowned University of Chicago- Advent Health System.

Before joining Gulfshore Concierge Medicine, Dr. Shaheen worked as a primary care physician at Wellmed Medical Group in Naples where he served as the Lead Physician. Prior to this, he worked at Physician’s Regional Medical Group in Naples in the PRMC outpatient medical clinic.
He has also worked as an Urgent Care Physician and Primary Care Physician for Edward Medical Group in Chicago. After completing his residency program, Dr. Shaheen worked as the Chief Resident, serving in this distinguished role for The University of Chicago Advent Health Family Medicine Program.Dr Shaheen has served as the team doctor for the Florida Everblades professional ice hockey team from 2022- 2025. He has worked in tandem with Dr. Bryan Hanypsiak, orthopedic surgeon and team doctor for the Everblades.
